W Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, / 07/2014 : Our Design Observations at this beautiful hotel [BONUS]

1. through 15, the design of the W Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand is remarkable in many ways, different colors, textures and objects, plus books, plants and wonderful terrace and staircase, it all adds up to inspire, these observations stood out as design driven / forward thinking initiatives for which W is famous around the world, creating modern, relaxed upscale spaces to be amazed and refreshed at the same time, it's all about inspiration, it's all about globality, it's all about locality, it's all about connection while we travel and explore our wonderful world through hotels, destinations, aviation, design, food, drinks and overall beauty. Enjoy.

W Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, / 07/2014 : A closer look at the fully restored former Russian Embassy which forms part of the W Hotel in the heart of Bangkok today

1. through 15, As part of the W Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand today, the former Russian Embassy is now wonderfully restored in all it's glory, a gorgeous building which stands in contrast to the ultra-modern W Hotel tower and all the other surrounding towers at Sathorn Square, Chong Nonsi BTS Station in the Thai Capital. They're reports that the space of the former Russian Embassy will be used as a new destination restaurant and bar in the near future, maybe from this year, 2015. In the future we would consider to visit again this beautiful design driven hotel, eat there again and we might plan to stay at the W Hotel, Bangkok in our future too. Enjoy.

W Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, / 07/2014 : Our Lunch at the Kitchen Table Restaurant

1. through 15, Overall we enjoyed our lunch at the Kitchen Table Restaurant, which is operated and located in the W Hotel, Bangkok Thailand, we availed ourselves from their Lunch offer "Keep it simple, Keep it real", which wasn't so simple after all, at least what choice and how could it be served concerned, we wanted a two course, main meal and desserts, but we couldn't avail of this offer, as a two course would mean we would've to take appetizer and main, but couldn't have a dessert in a two course format, and in regards to drinks, while "soft" drinks are included in this offer, no juices were included either, which means that literally, "only" unhealthy "fizzy" drinks are included in this offer, so we decided to have a three course lunch each incl. dessert, still a special offer, and we had ordered juices and water, plus a Sprite, which was included in the lunch price, but the juices has to be paid "extra" defeating the purpose of a special offer, having said this, the lunch itself was good, not very good, but good and enjoyable, a stylish setting, beautiful servings and surroundings, plus good service, the only snag was this inflexible lunch offer which includes only fizzy drinks and does dictate what we could order and now, otherwise we might try this restaurant again, but would order "a la carte" in the future. The W Hotel, Bangkok is a beautiful design hotel, with a gorgeous location and it belongs/is managed by Starwood, so as modern and trendy hotel it's important that they're more flexible in regards of the lunch offer policies or don't offer them at all in the first place. It's a beautiful environment, gorgeous design choices have been made and the access to the Chong Nonsi BTS is wonderful too. Overall, yes we might even stay at the hotel in our future and we might eat here again. Enjoy.

The Facade: W Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand / 07/2014 [5 IMAGES : LARGER SIZE]

1. through 5, As we walked from the Banyan Tree Hotel Bangkok / in which we stayed for 2 nights / along Sathorn Road, at first we noted the Evergreen Laurel Hotel, walked further towards the Chong Nonsi BTS Station and we found ourselves at the Sathorn Square development which also includes the W Hotel Bangkok, a beautiful modern tower, connected to the Chong Nonsi BTS station via walking bridges, a curvy, modern and fascinating tower, but there's also the heritage former Russian Embassy which is integrated into the W Hotel's grounds, an event space today, they both stand in harmony to each other other, paying respect to very different points in time, fully restored the former Embassy, a wonderful contrast to the modern towers surrounding this area in Bangkok. Hospitality in diverse forms with passion for heritage, the now and our future, it's a love for hospitality in the heart of the Thai Capital. Enjoy.
