1. through 15, we've discovered during our stay at the modern InterConintnetal Residence Suites Festival City, Dubai, UAE the wonderful indoor swimming pool and outdoor terrace overlooking Dubai, a gorgeous pool, a waterscape to be proud of, beautiful design, details and lots of space to enjoy this awesome facility at your or our own pace. Services are offered too incl. drinks and more, plus the terrace offers loungers too and lets not forget some splendid views. It was hot, as you would expect in Dubai, but swimming inside, being in the mood for relaxation and afterwards feeling well, that's as beautiful at it gets. Enjoy.
1. through 10, our Studio at the InterContinental Residence Suites Festival City, Dubai, UAE offered also a modern bathroom, we liked the clean feel, the Agraria products which come as standard at InterContinal Hotels around the world, plus some extras incl. Shaving Kit, which we thought was a nice upscale touch, but we would have loved to see a shower stall here instead of the shower/bathtub combined, having said this, overall it was very enjoyable and yes, we would look forward to stay again at the IC Residence Suites in our future for a short stay, before or after our flight/flights when in Dubai. 1. through 15, we enjoyed our stay at the InterContinental Residence Suites Festival City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in September 2014, but make sure when you're coming via taxi from the airport, in our case DXB, that the hotel/Residences are located at Marsa Plaza which isn't the IC Dubai Festival City as the "main hotel" is 7 minutes drive/or 15 minutes walk away along the new Dubai Creek. Once there we had a good welcome which was early, but our Studio was ready within 20 minutes despite the early hour, we sent them an e-mail beforehand so that they would know about our early arrival, but then it's Dubai, an early arrival or late departure shouldn't be too unexpected for any hotel in the Emirate. In regards to our 1 King Bed Studio, we had views over the city towards the airport, which we actually very much enjoyed, plus our Studio was airy, offered a luxurious bed, a large bathroom, a modern kitchen, beautiful modern furniture, a good seating area, which we used also for in-room dining, plus a good/large balcony with awesome views here in Dubai. Very enjoyable overall, we might stay here again as we look forward to visit Dubai in our future again. Enjoy.
1. through 10, after our visit to the world-famous Jim Thompson House nearby we thought about getting a drink at the Mercure Bangkok Siam Hotel, here we found not only respite and our refreshments, no here we found modern design, a 9th floor lobby bar with attached Terrace in a beautiful, yet simple and uncomplicated style. We enjoyed our freshly made Coconut smoothies and shared a bottle of Minere water at the Lobby bar which was well furnished and after our little pause we equally enjoyed a visit to the attached terrace on the 9th floor which offered some fascinating views from the surrounding area. Ideal after visiting the Jim Thompson House and catching the BTS at the National Stadium Station. Enjoy.
1. through 10, we visited for a quick drink the modern Mercure Bangkok Siam Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand in July 2014 at their 9th floor Lobby Bar and Terrace, also of note is that this modern hotel shares actually the building with the Ibis Hotel which is located on the lower floors of the complex, but both have their very own entrances and personalities we found out. As we experienced during our short visit here that some magnificient views can be had from their 9th floor terrace, plus details in the lobby make the hotel very unique, despite it's a compact lobby, check-in and Bar. We felt well, the hotel is located near the Jim Thompson House and the National Stadium BTS Station in the heart of Bangkok. Enjoy.
